About Takera Gholson

I help small businesses in the hospitality industry raise awareness about their service offerings through eye-catching food photography. I started out as a blogger after getting questions from friends and family about where to eat when they travel. Through blogging I rediscovered my love for photography, highlighting amazing food and travel destinations. 

I am based out of Washington, DC, but I love to travel with my husband and share our travel experiences. Once we are back home, we enjoy keeping the travel vibes going by cooking with spices from our travels, or enjoying local wine and spirits.

My foodie journey allows me to build relationships with fellow foodies, restaurant owners, and chefs. My travels extend from the East to the West coast of the United States, from the Caribbean to Central America, all the way to Europe, and Southern Asia. My mission is to explore dynamic sites, delicious foods, and create great content along the way.

I not only share my stories and my blogging journey, but I am honored to be able to tell the stories of great people in the hospitality industry.

Ever since I was a child I was fascinated by photographs. My favorite pastime was laying on the floor, thumbing through pages of family albums. Til this day one of the things that brings me the most joy is pulling out those albums and remembering all of the family stories behind every photo.
